The National Weatherization Corporation enables and enhances the implementation of public
and privately funded energy efficiency programs including the Energy Tax Credit for consumers.
Our current focus is to provide nationally scalable grant management and compliance services
to support American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) programs including the Weatherization
Assistance Program (WAP). ARRA is appropriated at $787 billion; WAP is allocated $5 billion
to retrofit over 500,000 dwellings. We provide:
- Grant Administration Services
- Compliance Services
- Certified Payrolls
- Energy Star Applicances to homeowners
- A Network of Contractors available to both Homeowners and Nonprofit Agencies(Subgrantees)
